Caramel Apple Crisp....Yum!

I love apple crisp....the smell of yummy apples baking, almost like apple pie, without the work of the crust! If you are going to make this you will need all of these items.
We make the crumble first (recipe below) and place in a 9x12 glass baking dish. It does not have to be see through...but it is nice to see the layers. Take about 2/3 of the crumble mixture and gently lay it on the bottom of the dish. Do not press down. I find it to be a lighter dessert that way. Slice your apples on top...be generous, or change up the fruit if you would like...I also like blueberries, strawberry/rhubarb mixture or anything else that tickles my fancy.

Sprinkle with white sugar.

And drizzle with caramel...the best part!

Next: layer with the rest of crumble topping.
Bake at 250 degree oven for about 1 hour.
Or you can bake at 350 for 1/2 hour.
Enjoy!
