Book Review: The Hole In Our Gospel

I finished an amazing book this week. Usually I run to the computer to write my review, but this time it was different. I wanted to do this book justice, somehow write a review that would inspire the reader to 'change the world' and then I realized I just had to write a review that would inspire the reader to read this book....and the world just might be changed. Richard Stearns, President of World Vision U.S, has laid out the foundation for the church to be world changers, to be the hands, heart, and feet of Jesus. We CAN make a difference to the hurting in Africa, the homeless in America and the brokenness in our own neighbourhoods. We are all called to be generous and willing to give, we are all called to give of our money and of our time...we are all called to give freely....but many ask will it make a difference? Can you or I possibly change the world? The answer is a resounding yes and through this book, The Hole In Our Gospel, we are given a plan, a clear direction for the church to follow. If you have ever wondered what the Lord expects of His children, those of us that have been blessed with so much, and what we should do about it...this book is for you. In fact if you have not wondered about it, I would hazard to say that you will be changed by reading this book. I do not think you could walk away from this book unchanged....I know I am. Thank you to Thomas Nelson for sending me a copy of this book for purpose of review. I would give this book 5 stars....I think you might too!

Hi Joanne,
I noticed you are reading Anatomy of the Soul. I am a publicist representing the author, Curt Thompson, MD. I notice you do other book reviews on your blog, and I was curious what you thought of Dr. Thompson's book. Might you be interested in writing a review for the book?

Let me know!

Thanks much,
Sara
