BooK Review: Sarai

I have always loved learning more about the life and times of some of my favorite Bible heroes and when given the opportunity to review Jill Eileen Smiths new novel, Sarai - Book 1 of The Wives of the Patriarchs Series, I couldn't wait to gain some new insight into the life and times of Abrams wife.

Jill did a wonderful job intertwining the deep and rich history of Sarai s background, the everyday struggles and challenges that faced these people chosen by God and I enjoyed the simple story format.  This book series is written for those that would like to have an in depth immersion into the everyday happenings of the wives of the Biblical patriarchs told in a historical fiction story way.  Therefore, if you are looking for a 'light' romantic fiction read...this might not be the book for you.

I would recommend this book as a fun supplement to a more structured study on the Patriarchs.  I would like to congratulate Jill on a well written novel that provides a beautiful peek into Old Testament living.
